Where your child can play, grow, and learn in a nurturing in-home environment
I’m “Miss Mandy”! I was an elentary school teacher for 9 years, 2 years teaching 3rd grade in Montrose, and 7 years teaching 5th grade in Greeley. After I had my second baby, I made the decision to leave public education so I could be at home with my own two kids. Being a teacher at heart, I missed it, and I wanted to find a way to teach AND be able to be at home with my kids. In 2017 I obtained my childcare license and opened up this preschool. My plan was to do this until my youngest started kindergarten, and then I would go back into the classroom. However, I ended up loving teaching preschool from home so much, I never quit! My youngest is now going into the 6th grade, and here I am!
When I was an elementary school teacher, I saw so many kids struggle with starting kindergarten. It was such a big step for them to start school. It’s a big, scary building with lots of people they didn’t know. For many of them, this was their first time being away from Mom and Dad, and kindergarten expectations are so high! It was very overwhelming. My goal is to prepare kids for kindergarten, both academically and socially. Being able to learn the big things in a small environment is a great stepping stone into the great big world of Elementary School. My goal is for all of my students to walk into kindergarten ready and confident with critical social and academic skills in their back pocket.
We play, of course! And we learn! Thinkie Beans is a structured preschool program that alternates between whole group activities and one on one instruction, and allows for lots of free play time throughout the day. We do a variety of structured learning activities:
